Chad A. Tuneberg founded Tuneberg Asset Management in 2002 and currently serves as the Managing Director. He began his career in 1992 with LaSalle Bank/ABN AMRO in Chicago, IL where he gained valuable experience within the banking and investment industry. 

 

Mr. Tuneberg holds a B.S. in Marketing and an MBA (Finance concentration) from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale. In addition, Tuneberg also holds a certificate in Behavioral Finance from Duke University, Durham, NC. He holds the FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 licenses. Shortly before founding Tuneberg Asset Management, Chad returned to campus for his MBA after being awarded a Graduate Research Assistant scholarship. He would go to work on multiple financial and economic studies. Through the Office of Economic and Regional Development, and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs, Chad contributed to both a major economic impact study and extensive project research.  Furthermore, Chad was the first Graduate Researcher ever chosen by the Illinois Finance Authority to lead a research study on the Authority’s investment banking activities through the use of industrial revenue bonds, local government bonds, not-for-profit bonds, business loans, and venture capital.

 

Today, Mr. Tuneberg enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Chad has participated in numerous sprint triathlons and is an avid biker, motorcyclist, NAUI certified scuba diver, and a train enthusiast.  

 

Along with running the firm, he is frequently consulted on matters related to the investment industry, is a regular participant in investment related research studies, and also contributes regularly on various economic and financial related issues. Chad helps youth literacy through the “Rockford Reads” program, coaches youth flag football, and assists in umpire duties for little league baseball. He currently serves as board Vice President of the Swedish Historical Society and is also a board member of the Rockford Christian Booster Club.
